Orleavo Heights is a community in Vista, California known for its large lots, and horse properties.
Orleavo Heights is comprised of a variety of estates with a minimum of ½ acre lots. This area is zoned for one horse per acre. The Vista Unified School District serves this community with facilities such as Breeze Hill Elementary School and Madison Middle School as well as Rancho Buena Vista High School. The charter school, Guajome Park Academy is also partially supported by the school district. There are 12 private facilities including St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, Calvary Christian School, and Tri-City Christian School. Both Kaplan College and Biola University have campuses here.
This community is close to freeway access and there are many shopping opportunities. The Historic Downtown Vista offers many restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The Avo Playhouse and Moonlight Amphitheatre feature Off Broadway productions as well as summer movies for the kids and families. Popular downtown events include the Vista Strawberry Festival, the Winterfest & Christmas Parade, and the North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Brengle Terrace Park also has an 18-hole golf course and is the venue for fireworks and concerts. It offers a senior center, playground, city community center, and two softball fields. The Shadowridge Golf Club offers a David Rainville designed 18-hole course as well as dining options and facilities for special events.
Vista is a medium sized city that is located in San Diego County’s northwestern region just seven miles inland. This city is rated as California’s 173rd best for families because of affordability, safety, health, and education. Vista features more than 75 temples and churches including a Buddhist Temple and Japanese-American Cultural Center.
